At the beginning of the project before starting any other work, I briefly brainstormed some different ideas for my story. I started out with just bullet point notes of possible ideas and anything that branches off that idea.
Later on in the project, once I had decided to use my cyberpunk story, I started to outline the basics of the story and how it could change based on the player's interactions with the given environment and characters.
